Christian Swanson has been with The Janitorial Agency Services Corp. for the past year and is one of the company’s highest earners. He graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor’s of Science, double major, degree in Marketing and Logistics Management. Christian enjoys applying what he has learned throughout his years in college by gaining insight into potential client’s businesses and making quick analyses of where they are and where The Janitorial Agency can take them. He is passionate about sharing his knowledge and educating interested clients not only about what The Janitorial Agency can do for them, but also about what he has learned about business and marketing; sharing those insights with potential entrepreneurs.

Christian’s job is to help as many people become cleaning entrepreneurs as he can. He says, “Growing up, I was influenced by my mom’s passion for teaching and helping her high school students succeed. That passion rubbed off on me, and today I use it to guide and educate my prospective clients to stay away from the franchisers in this industry and to go with us because we offer free enterprise.”

When asked why The Janitorial Agency is the best fit for entrepreneurs new to business, Christian said, “A lot of people know how to do the cleaning aspect of the business without the acquired business sense required in owning and operating a company.” That’s where The Janitorial Agency’s training becomes a factor. TJASC teaches people how to own and operate a cleaning business. None of the franchisers in the industry offer the extensive training we do.

Upon being asked what part of his job is the most challenging for him, Christian said, “The hardest part of the job is when a client is willing to join the team and just can’t because of the start-up fee. Christian spoke very highly of his office supervisor Joe Gauthier saying, “Joe is the backbone of the office. I respect him a lot. Steve and Dan are extremely knowledgeable about the cleaning industry and stay constructive when it comes time to make a change. They don’t waste any time because they know how to lead. Steve and Dan were successful in the commercial cleaning business with over 70 contracts and nearly one million dollars a year in revenue. They were so successful that they felt led to teach others how they succeeded, which is how The Janitorial Agency came to be as we know it today.”

When not at work, Christian enjoys an active lifestyle. He runs to stay in shape, plays a lot of basketball, and snowboards in the winter. He enjoys relaxing by the water in northern Michigan. He says, “Golf’s a big part of my life. It’s a great way to unwind without thinking about anything but my game. It keeps me balanced. Also, I love Tigers baseball. This year looks like they’ll win the AL Central.”
