Dan Carey is the Co-creator and Co-founder of The Janitorial Agency with his life long friend and business partner, Steve Conner. With over 9 years of research, trial and error he has created a "one of it's kind" Janitorial Agency Franchise System. Dan has used the most successful Janitorial Systems out there and found a niche for helping companies grow their business with the freedom of being independent. Dan has helped businesses have a more cost effective and quality service by raising the bar with the right standards. Helping companies understand the benefits of using a third party, Dan Carey has helped revolutionize the Janitorial Industry.

Dan Carey's background consists of a degree in Psychology and Theology. He ran a successful independent Janitorial Service for over 6 years. He is also a licensed counselor through the NCCA. With his passion to help people he has maintained a well known volunteer service throughout the community - Agape Christian Counseling Services.

When he isn't busy developing new ideas and perfecting the business model he created, Dan enjoys spending time with his wife, Stacey, his two daughters, Grace and Isabel, and his dog Lovie. His belief in having balance in everything you do has helped create a cohesiveness that has brought success to all his endeavors.



Steve Conner

In 2005, Stephen Conner founded The Janitorial Agency, a professional franchise and marketing company, with his lifelong friend and business partner Dan Carey. The young company is currently operating in the United States and Canada.

Steve had a work ethic instilled in him from the time he could help on the farm. His grandfather put him to work and taught him how to earn his own money. At the age of 12 he knew how to profit from selling produce. By the time he was 16, Steve had his own cleaning company, contracting company, and a tree removal service. Steve's grandmother was the vice-president of a 5/3rd band regional branch and still today gives him solid advice on how to manage his employees and customers. Steve's father has been with Dean Foods for nearly 30 years. His uncle, who recently retired from Aramark, was the Director of Operations of the commercial cleaning division for over 20 years. His uncle has always provided insight and help with any business consulting Steve has needed. With this well rounded family Steve has learned many good qualities from his role models that are needed to become a successful entrepreneur.

Steve enjoys outdoor sports, is a fishing and hunting enthusiast who spends some of his spare time promoting usaonthefly.com with his partner Ken Van Every.

After graduating from high school in 1999 Steve went on to pursue a degree in ministry. Once he completed his ordainment Steve began attending Central Michigan University for a degree in Business Administration and Psychology. While attending CMU from 2001 to 2005 Steve worked at the Home Depot. He was known at the store for his ability to be a leader and he was second out of over 1800 stores in the United States for John Deere sales in his first year.

Today Steve is taking more classes at CMU to enhance his business skills and is completing his MBA. He works hard to ensure all his customers and partners are well informed and enjoys building personal relationships with all of them. Some of Steve's greatest skills and accomplishments include the development of advisory counsels in each industry he is involved with. Steve is a very detail oriented person and demands professionalism from his staff. Steve is a role model to his staff by battling the everyday demands of work, family and school and often works late and on weekends.

Steve and his wife Sheri have three daughters. Steve plans to instill the hard work ethic in his children and he hopes to see them take an interest in the company as they get older.



Stacey R. Armstrong

Stacey R. Armstrong was born and raised in a small town in rural Pennsylvania. After High School, Stacey left her home for colder weather in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She pursued a Bachelor's Degree there, from Calvin College, and continued with their Master's program. She accepted the position as Franchise Director from The Janitorial Agency. Stacey thrives on being an integral part to the development of this phenomenal company. When Stacey isn't working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, and dog.



Dennis Kocsis
Vice President of Franchise Development and Consulting

Dennis Kocsis, though born, raised, and educated in the Lansing, Michigan area, has reached many individuals nationally and internationally. One of five children, has learned the value of relationship building and service to others. A graduate of Lansing Everett High School (Classmate of Earvin "Magic" Johnson, famed NBA superstar) and Lansing Community College with studies in Journalism, Dennis has developed an appreciation for structure and accuracy in his professional and personal life.

A life long Michigander, Dennis has grown to appreciate changing climates in this state both in nature and in business, most notably in business development. Wearing many diverse professional hats (management, sales, marketing, and consulting) has allowed Dennis to help businesses of all sizes and experience, flourish into successful contributors in their industries. Diversity in various industries such as the Services and Health Care has enabled Dennis to find the best solutions for business success, through bringing structure and organization to businesses throughout the United States and Canada.

Dennis spends his personal time involved in his church and reaching out to his community. Husband to wife Leslie, father to Kady and Kyle, and grandfather to Faith Ann, Dennis effectively balances his professional and personal life to address the needs of those seeking help. Dennis is an avid golfer, tennis player, and has participated at a high level in sports such as football, basketball, softball, and many other events. "The discipline I learned through conditioning my mind and body to effectively excel in sports has carried over into my personal and professional life."


Ken Van Every
Vice President of Master Franchise Program

Ken Van Every is a graduate of Long Beach University with a major in Business Management. He has had many rewarding careers ranging from working on the NASA Space Shuttle to managing the NASCAR Winston Cup Series, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, NHRA Funny Car Racing Programs for General Motors among others. He is a proud winner of 13 Manufactures Championships and 15 driver championships in professional racing venues. In 2005, he developed www.USAOnTheFly.com and 20 other regional related websites dedicated to the sport of fly fishing. It is viewed as the World's largest directory for the unique industry of Fly Fishing.

Linda Shell
Administration Supervisor

Linda Shell is dedicated and has heart and passion for The Janitorial Agency. Linda has three grown sons and six grandchildren, two dogs and three grand dogs. She loves camping in her RV. Her background is in property management and accounting for over 30 years. She was born and raised in the Lansing, Michigan area. She acquired an Associates Degree in Computer Support at Lansing Community College with a minor in accounting. Family is very important to her and she feels like TJA is part of her family.
