When I was growing up I always wanted to own a business. I was led to this industry because I wanted to start a family business that I could be successful in. Starting your own company is very intimidating; with so many businesses failing once they start, so I knew I needed help. I came to The Janitorial Agency with confidence mostly because they guaranteed contracts. They helped me through the entire process, offered specific advice, and guided me so I didn’t feel like I was doing it all alone. I am the sole owner of the company (wife has offered to help spend the money), so it was great to know that I didn’t have to figure everything out on my own. 

Through my preliminary certification, they continually offered pretty specific information and advice. Some people are just too general when they try to help, just saying, “This might work,” “This might not work,” Just market it,” and “Location, location, location.” The people that I worked with at The Janitorial Agency were all wonderful in during my training; because of this personal attention I have a greater knowledge of sales and how to acquire contracts on my own.

I have also learned the importance of setting a goal and having a vision for my company. Right now I am starting off small; just a few contracts while I get used to managing a new business and practice implementing everything I have learned from The Janitorial Agency. But my goal is to quickly move on to much bigger contracts like the franchises. I want to see that growth and I know I have the potential to take my company to that level.

I believe that my greatest advantage going into business, what will make me better than the other guy, is the back-up I have with The Janitorial Agency. Potential clients really like to hear from references, but most of the time references don’t say enough; just “They do a good job cleaning” and that is all. It is encouraging to know that when a client contacts my references, The Janitorial Agency will actually talk with them, and really let them know who I am and what I can do.
